Accreditation and Certification

The professional Athletic Training program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) since 2001 and is seeking continuing accreditation of the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) Program. Students who graduate from the program may take the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification examination.

The Board of Certification supplies exam preparation tools each year to use as resources for studying for this exam. Some of the books listed on the Board of Certification may be checked out in the AT Lab resource room or from faculty offices.
