The Recreation and Sport Management minor is ideal for people who recognize the importance of parks. Students learn to promote leisure as a healthy activity. The program teaches students how cultural, social, and geological factors influence the development of parks and recreation centers.
The minor prepares students to deliver a quality recreation experience. Students will be able to work with people who have varying skill levels and backgrounds.
Recreation is critical for healthy and stable communities. It influences the well-being of others by promoting personal growth, fitness, and wellness through healthy activities.
Minors can only be declared by current Illinois State students. Current students can use the Apply to Your Program tool on My.IllinoisState.edu.
